| 5 | 5 | | WHEREAS, The untimely death of Alexander Christian Reed on |

| 6 | 6 | | May 22, 2009, at the age of 17, has deeply saddened the China Spring |

| 7 | 7 | | community and has brought a great loss to his family and to all who |

| 8 | 8 | | knew him; and |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | WHEREAS, Born on October 22, 1991, in Waco, Alex Reed was the |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | beloved son of Laura Myers and Damon Reed; he embraced life with a |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | wonderful sense of humor and brightened the days of his numerous |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | friends with his ever-present smile; and |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | WHEREAS, Alex enjoyed riding horses, roping, bowling, scuba |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | diving, and Frisbee golf, and he spent many happy times traveling |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | with his family and swimming at the lake with his brothers and |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | sisters; a talented student, he was a proud China Spring Cougar and |

| 17 | 17 | | a member of Highland Baptist Church; and |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | WHEREAS, Although his journey on this earth was far too |

| 19 | 19 | | brief, memories of this friendly, caring young man will forever |

| 20 | 20 | | endure in the hearts of those who were privileged to share in his |

| 21 | 21 | | love and affection; now, therefore, be it |

| 22 | 22 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas |
