H.R. No. 2883
R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Jeb Noel Bates celebrated a significant milestone in
his life on May 22, 2009, when he graduated from Chaparral High
School in Parker, Colorado; and
WHEREAS, An intelligent and hardworking student, Mr. Bates
was born in 1990 in Germany, where his father, Major Lane Bates, was
serving in the military; a member of the soccer team at his high
school, Jeb Bates was voted most valuable player for his
performance as goalie during his senior year, and he was also
elected prom king; and
WHEREAS, This outstanding young man is a source of pride for
the members of his family, and he plans to attend Augsburg College
in Minneapolis, Minnesota, in the fall of 2009; and
WHEREAS, Jeb Bates has distinguished himself as an individual
of great ability and determination, and it is a pleasure to
recognize him as he prepares to embark on an exciting new chapter in
his life; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas
Legislature hereby congratulate Jeb Noel Bates on his graduation
from Chaparral High School and extend to him sincere best wishes for
success in all his future endeavors; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Mr. Bates as an expression of high regard by the Texas
House of Representatives.
