55 WHEREAS, Jeb Noel Bates celebrated a significant milestone in
66 his life on May 22, 2009, when he graduated from Chaparral High
77 School in Parker, Colorado; and
88 WHEREAS, An intelligent and hardworking student, Mr. Bates
99 was born in 1990 in Germany, where his father, Major Lane Bates, was
1010 serving in the military; a member of the soccer team at his high
1111 school, Jeb Bates was voted most valuable player for his
1212 performance as goalie during his senior year, and he was also
1313 elected prom king; and
1414 WHEREAS, This outstanding young man is a source of pride for
1515 the members of his family, and he plans to attend Augsburg College
1616 in Minneapolis, Minnesota, in the fall of 2009; and
1717 WHEREAS, Jeb Bates has distinguished himself as an individual
1818 of great ability and determination, and it is a pleasure to
1919 recognize him as he prepares to embark on an exciting new chapter in
2020 his life; now, therefore, be it
2121 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas
2222 Legislature hereby congratulate Jeb Noel Bates on his graduation
2323 from Chaparral High School and extend to him sincere best wishes for
2424 success in all his future endeavors; and, be it further
2525 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
2626 prepared for Mr. Bates as an expression of high regard by the Texas
2727 House of Representatives.
