No. 2886 R E S O L U T I O N WHEREAS, The Texas House of Representatives is pleased to recognize the dedicated individuals who strive diligently each day to keep the State Capitol and its lush grounds in good order for the benefit of all who work and visit here; and WHEREAS, The housekeeping/grounds and maintenance divisions of the State Preservation Board see to the cleanliness of the Capitol and the appearance of its beautiful landscaping; in addition, they perform necessary repairs and take preventative measures to ensure the soundness of the building and the proper functioning of its various systems; and WHEREAS, Among the outstanding group that takes pride in burnishing the grandeur of our State Capitol are Joe Medina, housekeeping and grounds manager; Cal Williams, maintenance manager; and Lawrence Aros, housekeeping manager; and Cathy Young, Maria Rodriguez, Flora Torres, Maria Loredo, Maria Lopez, Quang Tran, Barbara Gonzales, Chris Johle, Bob Martinez, Sylvia Daniels, Diane Magallanez, Chinh Nguyen, Gamael Vital, Laura Cuellar, Greg Taylor, Daniel Longoria, Hector Medrano, Miguel Garcia, Juan Enriquez, Brent Dickerson, Blair Smith, Dwight Morgan, David De La Rosa, Syd Ennis, Larry Starkes, Sam Saldana, Terry Pyle, John Turnham, Will Hoes, Manuel Rodriguez, Roger Calkins, Bill Wilson, Andy Bedell, Audey Friar, Rick Grimes, Joe Roberts, and Dave Douglas; they are supported by Steve Aguirre, facilities customer service coordinator, and the staff of GCA Services Group; and WHEREAS, Bringing to their work the utmost care, enthusiasm, and commitment, the State Capitol housekeeping, grounds, and maintenance personnel provide a significant public service, and their efforts are truly deserving of commendation; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas Legislature hereby honor those employees of the State Preservation Board who maintain the beauty and excellent condition of the State Capitol and extend to them sincere appreciation for their contributions to the Lone Star State; and, be it further RESOLVED, That official copies of this resolution be prepared for these employees as an expression of high regard by the Texas House of Representatives.
