| 5 | 5 | | WHEREAS, An inspiring couple whose lives have been enhanced |

| 6 | 6 | | by a great and enduring love, Willie and Robbie Lee Williams are |

| 7 | 7 | | celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary on June 4, 2009; and |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | WHEREAS, Willie Frank Williams and the former Robbie Lee |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | Wells were united in matrimony in Port Arthur in 1959; through the |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | years, they have nurtured a fulfilling marriage that has been made |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | even richer with the addition of three children, the Reverend |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | Willie F. Williams, Jr., Cassandra Joy Purnell, and Gregory W. |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | Williams, and six grandchildren; and |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | WHEREAS, Mr. Williams retired as a principal with the Waco |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | school district; Mrs. Williams was a classroom teacher for many |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | years and is retired; and |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | WHEREAS, While innumerable changes have taken place in the |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | world during the past half-century, this devoted husband and wife |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | have remained constant in their commitment to one another, and the |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | strength of their love has enabled them to meet life's challenges |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | and opportunities with grace and optimism; now, therefore, be it |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas |

| 23 | 23 | | Legislature hereby congratulate Willie and Robbie Lee Williams on |

| 24 | 24 | | their golden wedding anniversary and extend to them sincere best |

| 25 | 25 | | wishes for continued happiness; and, be it further |
