5	5	WHEREAS, The orderly deliberations of the Texas House of
6	6	Representatives during the Regular Session of the 81st Legislature
7	7	have been greatly facilitated by the diligent efforts of those who
8	8	serve in the office of the house sergeant-at-arms; and
9	9	WHEREAS, Rod Welsh, the house sergeant-at-arms, includes
10	10	among his duties maintaining order in the house chamber and meeting
11	11	rooms, securing the attendance of members, and assisting all house
12	12	officers in carrying out their administrative duties; assistant
13	13	sergeant-at-arms David Sauceda oversees the daily activities of the
14	14	sergeant messengers, who contribute to the efficiency of the
15	15	legislative process in innumerable ways; with a familiar voice
16	16	known to all, doorkeeper Alana Gutierrez announces an eagerly
17	17	awaited message from the senate; and
18	18	WHEREAS, The duties of the sergeant's office could not be
19	19	performed without the essential support of office supervisors
20	20	Robert Barrios, Manuel Garcia, Alana Gutierrez, Trevor Rice, and
21	21	Ray Wallace; and
22	22	WHEREAS, Helping to ensure the availability of parking, as
23	23	well as the safety of house members and their vehicles, are house
24	24	parking attendants Jerry Amaya, Juan Marinez, Billy Moore, Ralph
25	25	Rios, Jr., Richard Robinson, Rudell Roe, and Howard Seymour; and
26	26	WHEREAS, The exceptionally competent assistant sergeant
27	27	messenger staff includes the following individuals: Kate
28	28	Armstrong, Anne Marie Beisler, Mark Chilivetis, Frederick
29	29	"Cricket" Day, Wesley McDowell, Jeremy Salazar, Ben Skeen, and
30	30	Christina "Devin" Williams; in addition, the dedicated messenger
31	31	staff includes R. J. Axe, Adam Barton, Marcel Bell, Jeff Benavides,
32	32	Bradley Bizzell, Brandon Culpepper, Dorothy Davis, Jacob Del
33	33	Bosque, Ryan Estes, Cynthia Faught, Jon Hull, Jennifer Irby, Seth
34	34	Juergens, Dallas Lee, Paul McCoy, Nick Morris, Kimberly Nemecek,
35	35	Abdul Pasha, Kyle Paylor, John Uniacke, Sarah Vaught, Rachel Ward,
36	36	and Matthew Wright; and
37	37	WHEREAS, The high degree of professionalism and
38	38	conscientious efforts of each individual in the house
39	39	sergeant-at-arms office have contributed immeasurably to this
40	40	legislative session, and each is truly deserving of special
41	41	recognition; now, therefore, be it
42	42	RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas
43	43	Legislature hereby extend to house sergeant-at-arms Rod Welsh and
44	44	to the entire staff of the house sergeant-at-arms office sincere
45	45	gratitude for the outstanding services they have rendered during
46	46	this legislative session; and, be it further
47	47	RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
48	48	prepared for the house sergeant-at-arms office as an expression of
49	49	high regard by the Texas House of Representatives.
