| 9 | 9 | | resolve the differences on House Bill 2682 (the authority of |

| 10 | 10 | | municipalities to alter speed limits) to consider and take action |

| 12 | 12 | | House Rule 13, Section 9(a)(1), is suspended to permit the |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | committee to change text not in disagreement in SECTION 1 of the |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | bill, in Sections 545.356(b-1) and (b-2), Transportation Code, to |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | read as follows: |

| 16 | 16 | | (b-1) The [Except as provided by Subsection (b-2), the] |

| 17 | 17 | | governing body of a municipality, for a highway or a part of a |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | highway in [an urban district in] the municipality that is not an |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | officially designated or marked highway or road of the state |

|---|

| 23 | 23 | | per hour, if the governing body determines that the prima facie |

| 24 | 24 | | speed limit on the highway is unreasonable or unsafe. |
