R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, The Reverend Dr. Harvey L. Hollmon is celebrating 60
years in the Baptist ministry on September 20, 2009; and
WHEREAS, This esteemed Texan provides outstanding spiritual
leadership to the congregants of Alta Mesa Park Baptist Church in
Dallas, where he has been the pastor for a quarter of a century; and
WHEREAS, Through the decades, Dr. Hollmon has served his
congregations with compassion, conviction, and generosity, and his
enduring commitment to the ministry and to his community of faith
remains a source of inspiration and guidance for numerous Dallas
residents; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas
Legislature hereby congratulate the Reverend Dr. Harvey L. Hollmon
of Alta Mesa Park Baptist Church on the occasion of his 60th
pastoral anniversary and extend to him sincere best wishes for
continued success with his important work; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Dr. Hollmon as an expression of high regard by the
Texas House of Representatives.
