| 5 | 5 | | BE IT RESOLVED by the House of Representatives of the State of |

| 7 | 7 | | Section 9(a), be suspended in part as provided by House Rule 13, |

| 8 | 8 | | Section 9(f), to enable the conference committee appointed to |

| 9 | 9 | | resolve the differences on House Bill 4102 (the disaster |

| 10 | 10 | | contingency fund and relief for school districts located in a |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | disaster area), to consider and take action on the following |
|---|

| 13 | 13 | | House Rule 13, Section 9(a)(1), is suspended to permit the |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | committee to change text not in disagreement in SECTION 1 of the |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | bill, in Section 418.073(c), Government Code, to read as follows: |

| 16 | 16 | | (c) A state or [agency,] local government[, or other |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | eligible] entity that participates in disaster preparation or |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | disaster recovery may request and receive funding from the disaster |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | contingency fund to pay for[: |

| 21 | 21 | | local government entity in preparing for or recovering from |

| 28 | 28 | | affected areas within the jurisdiction of the municipality or |

| 31 | 31 | | disaster for the affected county or counties]. |

| 32 | 32 | | Explanation: This change is necessary to maintain the ability |
|---|
| 33 | 33 | | of a state or local government entity to receive reimbursement from |
|---|
| 34 | 34 | | the disaster contingency fund for costs incurred by the entity in |
|---|
