 R E S O L U T I O N
 WHEREAS, The Neerman family of Lake Highlands are among the
 many North Texas residents who have benefited from the
 comprehensive, high-quality services offered at the Neonatal
 Intensive Care Unit of Baylor University Medical Center at Dallas;
 and
 WHEREAS, On March 6, 2009, Jonathan and Tricia Neerman
 welcomed a son, Jonathan Danny Neerman, Jr., who was born 14 weeks
 early and weighed only 1 pound, 11 ounces; in this critical
 situation, Jonathan and his parents were fortunate to receive
 outstanding support and care from the attentive medical staff of
 the NICU, including his primary nurses, Angela Quant Weinbrenner,
 Lisa Stone, and Tina Wepler; and
 WHEREAS, Since its founding, the nursery has similarly helped
 countless newborns and their families, and it has developed into a
 Level III unit, which ensures the highest level of care available;
 operated by a staff of nearly 300 physicians, nurses, respiratory
 therapists, neonatal and pediatric nurse practitioners, and other
 professionals, the NICU remains a widely recognized,
 state-of-the-art facility, and it holds the distinction of being
 the birthplace of the twin daughters of George and Laura Bush; and
 WHEREAS, With its integrated, family-centered services and
 advanced technology, the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit of Baylor
 University Medical Center has provided vital medical care to
 Jonathan Neerman and many other newborn Texans, and the efforts of
 its devoted staff are truly commendable; now, therefore, be it
 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas
 Legislature hereby honor Angela Quant Weinbrenner, Lisa Stone, and
 Tina Wepler, as well as the other dedicated employees of the
 Neonatal Intensive Care Unit of Baylor University Medical Center,
 for their exemplary service and extend to them sincere best wishes
 for continued success with their important work; and, be it further
 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
 prepared for Ms. Weinbrenner, Ms. Stone, Ms. Wepler, and the NICU
 staff at Baylor University Medical Center as an expression of high
 regard by the Texas House of Representatives.
