5	5	WHEREAS, The Neerman family of Lake Highlands are among the
6	6	many North Texas residents who have benefited from the
7	7	comprehensive, high-quality services offered at the Neonatal
8	8	Intensive Care Unit of Baylor University Medical Center at Dallas;
9	9	and
10	10	WHEREAS, On March 6, 2009, Jonathan and Tricia Neerman
11	11	welcomed a son, Jonathan Danny Neerman, Jr., who was born 14 weeks
12	12	early and weighed only 1 pound, 11 ounces; in this critical
13	13	situation, Jonathan and his parents were fortunate to receive
14	14	outstanding support and care from the attentive medical staff of
15	15	the NICU, including his primary nurses, Angela Quant Weinbrenner,
16	16	Lisa Stone, and Tina Wepler; and
17	17	WHEREAS, Since its founding, the nursery has similarly helped
18	18	countless newborns and their families, and it has developed into a
19	19	Level III unit, which ensures the highest level of care available;
20	20	operated by a staff of nearly 300 physicians, nurses, respiratory
21	21	therapists, neonatal and pediatric nurse practitioners, and other
22	22	professionals, the NICU remains a widely recognized,
23	23	state-of-the-art facility, and it holds the distinction of being
24	24	the birthplace of the twin daughters of George and Laura Bush; and
25	25	WHEREAS, With its integrated, family-centered services and
26	26	advanced technology, the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit of Baylor
27	27	University Medical Center has provided vital medical care to
28	28	Jonathan Neerman and many other newborn Texans, and the efforts of
29	29	its devoted staff are truly commendable; now, therefore, be it
30	30	RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas
31	31	Legislature hereby honor Angela Quant Weinbrenner, Lisa Stone, and
32	32	Tina Wepler, as well as the other dedicated employees of the
33	33	Neonatal Intensive Care Unit of Baylor University Medical Center,
34	34	for their exemplary service and extend to them sincere best wishes
35	35	for continued success with their important work; and, be it further
36	36	RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
37	37	prepared for Ms. Weinbrenner, Ms. Stone, Ms. Wepler, and the NICU
38	38	staff at Baylor University Medical Center as an expression of high
39	39	regard by the Texas House of Representatives.
