H.R. No. 3004
R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Lisselle Osuna has been named the 2009-2010
Elementary Teacher of the Year in the Ysleta Independent School
District; and
WHEREAS, A fifth-grade teacher at Ysleta Elementary School,
Ms. Osuna prepared for her career by majoring in interdisciplinary
studies and bilingual education at The University of Texas at El
Paso and graduated in 2003; and
WHEREAS, Ms. Osuna is a five-year veteran of the teaching
profession, and she serves as a member of the science cadre at
Ysleta Elementary as well as being a mentor teacher for math and
science; away from the job, she is active in her church, where she
is a member of the praise and worship team; and
WHEREAS, The education of young Texans is of paramount
importance to the future of the Lone Star State, and this award
justly recognizes Lisselle Osuna for her exceptional work in
preparing her students for the challenges and opportunities that
lie ahead; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas
Legislature hereby congratulate Lisselle Osuna on being named the
2009-2010 Elementary Teacher of the Year in the Ysleta Independent
School District and extend to her sincere best wishes for continued
success in her profession; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Ms. Osuna as an expression of high regard by the Texas
House of Representatives.
