44 R E S O L U T I O N
55 WHEREAS, Lisselle Osuna has been named the 2009-2010
66 Elementary Teacher of the Year in the Ysleta Independent School
77 District; and
88 WHEREAS, A fifth-grade teacher at Ysleta Elementary School,
99 Ms. Osuna prepared for her career by majoring in interdisciplinary
1010 studies and bilingual education at The University of Texas at El
1111 Paso and graduated in 2003; and
1212 WHEREAS, Ms. Osuna is a five-year veteran of the teaching
1313 profession, and she serves as a member of the science cadre at
1414 Ysleta Elementary as well as being a mentor teacher for math and
1515 science; away from the job, she is active in her church, where she
1616 is a member of the praise and worship team; and
1717 WHEREAS, The education of young Texans is of paramount
1818 importance to the future of the Lone Star State, and this award
1919 justly recognizes Lisselle Osuna for her exceptional work in
2020 preparing her students for the challenges and opportunities that
2121 lie ahead; now, therefore, be it
2222 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas
2323 Legislature hereby congratulate Lisselle Osuna on being named the
2424 2009-2010 Elementary Teacher of the Year in the Ysleta Independent
2525 School District and extend to her sincere best wishes for continued
2626 success in her profession; and, be it further
2727 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
2828 prepared for Ms. Osuna as an expression of high regard by the Texas
2929 House of Representatives.
