| 5 | 5 | | WHEREAS, Lisselle Osuna has been named the 2009-2010 |

| 6 | 6 | | Elementary Teacher of the Year in the Ysleta Independent School |

| 7 | 7 | | District; and |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | WHEREAS, A fifth-grade teacher at Ysleta Elementary School, |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | Ms. Osuna prepared for her career by majoring in interdisciplinary |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | studies and bilingual education at The University of Texas at El |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | Paso and graduated in 2003; and |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | WHEREAS, Ms. Osuna is a five-year veteran of the teaching |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | profession, and she serves as a member of the science cadre at |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | Ysleta Elementary as well as being a mentor teacher for math and |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | science; away from the job, she is active in her church, where she |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | is a member of the praise and worship team; and |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | WHEREAS, The education of young Texans is of paramount |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | importance to the future of the Lone Star State, and this award |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | justly recognizes Lisselle Osuna for her exceptional work in |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | preparing her students for the challenges and opportunities that |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | lie ahead; now, therefore, be it |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas |

| 23 | 23 | | Legislature hereby congratulate Lisselle Osuna on being named the |

| 24 | 24 | | 2009-2010 Elementary Teacher of the Year in the Ysleta Independent |

| 25 | 25 | | School District and extend to her sincere best wishes for continued |
