| 5 | 5 | | WHEREAS, Family and friends suffered an immeasurable loss |
|---|
| 6 | 6 | | with the death of Myles Julian Anderson of El Paso on November 9, |
|---|
| 7 | 7 | | 2006, at the age of 20; and |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | WHEREAS, Myles Anderson was born in El Paso on August 31, |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | 1986, to Chris and Kayla Anderson; he attended Cathedral High |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | School, where he showed true promise as an actor, accumulating more |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | credits as a performer than anyone else in the school's history; and |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | WHEREAS, For a government class project, Mr. Anderson |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | prepared a tribute in memory of a classmate who died while serving |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | his country in Iraq; the resolution became H.R. 161, which was |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | adopted during the 79th Texas Legislative Session; Mr. Anderson |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | accompanied his mentor, Chief Justice Richard Barajas, to the State |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | Capitol, and was present when the measure was read on the house |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | floor; and |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | WHEREAS, Mr. Anderson went on to attend St. Edwards |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | University in Austin, where he discovered a new passion, |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | photography; he returned to El Paso to pursue this interest, and his |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | work was exhibited in several local galleries; and |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | WHEREAS, Myles Anderson is remembered by all who knew him as a |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | warm and outgoing young man who befriended young and old alike; he |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | was known for offering to cut the grass of elderly members of his |
|---|
| 26 | 26 | | church and to take nothing more than a glass of tea and some good |
|---|
| 27 | 27 | | conversation in return; and |
|---|
| 28 | 28 | | WHEREAS, Although his life ended far too soon, memories of |
|---|
| 29 | 29 | | this beloved young Texan will forever endure in the hearts of the |
|---|
| 30 | 30 | | many people who held him dear; now, therefore, be it |
|---|
| 31 | 31 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas |
|---|
| 32 | 32 | | Legislature hereby honor the life of Myles Julian Anderson and |
|---|
| 33 | 33 | | extend sincere condolences to his parents and to his other loved |
|---|
| 34 | 34 | | ones; and, be it further |
|---|
| 35 | 35 | | RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|---|
| 36 | 36 | | prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of |

| 37 | 37 | | Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Myles |
