5	5	WHEREAS, Kaitlin Triplett of North Star Elementary School in
6	6	El Paso has been named a 2009 Safety Patrol Student of the Year; and
7	7	WHEREAS, For more than a half-century, the El Paso Police
8	8	Department has coordinated the Safety Patrol program, and each
9	9	year, exceptional student safety officers are selected from area
10	10	schools as part of the student-of-the-year initiative sponsored by
11	11	the Downtown Lions Club; and
12	12	WHEREAS, The daughter of Monica and Tony Triplett, Kaitlin
13	13	Triplett is a sixth-grade student on the high honor roll at North
14	14	Star Elementary, where she especially enjoys studying mathematics;
15	15	she is a member of the Barracuda Aquatics Swim Team and the North
16	16	Star dance squad; and
17	17	WHEREAS, This outstanding young Texan has learned the values
18	18	of dedication, respect, and responsibility through her involvement
19	19	in the Safety Patrol, and she may take great pride in the
20	20	contribution she has made to her school; now, therefore, be it
21	21	RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas
22	22	Legislature hereby congratulate Kaitlin Triplett on being named a
23	23	Safety Patrol Student of the Year at North Star Elementary School
24	24	and extend to her sincere best wishes for the future; and, be it
25	25	further
26	26	RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
27	27	prepared for Ms. Triplett as an expression of high regard by the
28	28	Texas House of Representatives.
