5	5	WHEREAS, Residents of Clint lost a beloved neighbor and
6	6	cherished friend with the passing of Ruben Grijalva on February 18,
7	7	2009, at the age of 51; and
8	8	WHEREAS, Born in El Paso on April 29, 1957, Ruben Grijalva was
9	9	the son of Eligio and Magdalena Grijalva; he learned the business of
10	10	farming as he grew up by assisting his father, and he later became a
11	11	sheet metal worker; and
12	12	WHEREAS, A caring husband and father, Mr. Grijalva enjoyed a
13	13	rewarding marriage with his wife, Suzie Apodaca; the couple raised
14	14	a loving family that grew to include four children, Christopher,
15	15	Timothy, Marcus, and Alexander, as well as two grandchildren; Mr.
16	16	Grijalva was a faithful parishioner of San Lorenzo Catholic Church
17	17	in Clint; and
18	18	WHEREAS, Those fortunate enough to have known Ruben Grijalva
19	19	will remember the way that he brightened their lives with his
20	20	kindness and humor, and he will forever hold a treasured place in
21	21	their hearts; now, therefore, be it
22	22	RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas
23	23	Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of Ruben Grijalva and
24	24	extend sincere sympathy to the members of his family: to his wife,
25	25	Suzie Apodaca; to his children, Christopher Ruben, Timothy Eligio,
26	26	Marcus, and Alexander Grijalva; to his grandchildren, Maddisson and
27	27	Emily; to his mother, Magdalena S. Grijalva; to his siblings,
28	28	Martha, Cristina, Rudy, Lupita, Lily, Gracie, Ana, Eddie, Dikki,
29	29	and Ronnie; to his brothers-in-law, Joe, Rudy, Louie, George,
30	30	Eddie, Frank, and Gilbert; and to his other relatives and friends;
31	31	and, be it further
32	32	RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
33	33	prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of
34	34	Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Ruben
35	35	Grijalva.
