H.R. No. 3066
R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Carlos Hernandez was named the Outstanding Pre-Law
Student at the Law Day Dinner and Awards Presentation hosted by the
El Paso Bar Association on May 9, 2009; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Hernandez, who is enrolled at The University of
Texas at El Paso, was honored with the Cori A. Harbour Pre-Law Award
for his scholastic achievements and community service; and
WHEREAS, The Law Day Dinner provides an opportunity for
members of the El Paso Bar Association to honor lawyers and others
for their professional accomplishments, service to the legal
profession, and civic contributions, and Mr. Hernandez is indeed a
worthy recipient of this accolade; and
WHEREAS, Through hard work and perseverance in the pursuit of
his goals, Carlos Hernandez has garnered the respect of his mentors
and peers alike, and he may indeed look toward a future bright with
promise; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas
Legislature hereby congratulate Carlos Hernandez on being named the
2009 Outstanding Pre-Law Student by the El Paso Bar Association and
extend to him sincere best wishes for continued success and
happiness; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Mr. Hernandez as an expression of high regard by the
Texas House of Representatives.
