5	5	WHEREAS, Carlos Hernandez was named the Outstanding Pre-Law
6	6	Student at the Law Day Dinner and Awards Presentation hosted by the
7	7	El Paso Bar Association on May 9, 2009; and
8	8	WHEREAS, Mr. Hernandez, who is enrolled at The University of
9	9	Texas at El Paso, was honored with the Cori A. Harbour Pre-Law Award
10	10	for his scholastic achievements and community service; and
11	11	WHEREAS, The Law Day Dinner provides an opportunity for
12	12	members of the El Paso Bar Association to honor lawyers and others
13	13	for their professional accomplishments, service to the legal
14	14	profession, and civic contributions, and Mr. Hernandez is indeed a
15	15	worthy recipient of this accolade; and
16	16	WHEREAS, Through hard work and perseverance in the pursuit of
17	17	his goals, Carlos Hernandez has garnered the respect of his mentors
18	18	and peers alike, and he may indeed look toward a future bright with
19	19	promise; now, therefore, be it
20	20	RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas
21	21	Legislature hereby congratulate Carlos Hernandez on being named the
22	22	2009 Outstanding Pre-Law Student by the El Paso Bar Association and
23	23	extend to him sincere best wishes for continued success and
24	24	happiness; and, be it further
25	25	RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
26	26	prepared for Mr. Hernandez as an expression of high regard by the
27	27	Texas House of Representatives.
