| 5 | 5 | | WHEREAS, The Tuloso-Midway High School Choir has brought |

| 6 | 6 | | great honor to its school and community through its record of |

| 7 | 7 | | outstanding performances; and |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | WHEREAS, Under the dedicated leadership of director Judith |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | Moore, the 2008-2009 choir has earned 105 UIL medals for solo and |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | ensemble performances, as well as sweepstakes awards for treble, |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | mixed, and tenor/bass choir; and |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | WHEREAS, In addition to the 33 members who earned positions |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | on the Texas Music Educators Association All-District Choir, 13 |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | earned All-Region recognition and 7 earned All-Area; moreover, |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | Sarah Garcia was named to the All-State Mixed Choir, Meagan |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | Contreras was named to the All-State Treble Choir, and Dustin Pate |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | and Julie Moore earned places on the Texas Choral Directors |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | Association Honor Choir; and |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | WHEREAS, No stranger to praise, the group has also earned a |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | number of honors in previous years, including a total of nearly 200 |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | UIL medals and the sweepstakes award for Treble Choir in 2006-2007 |

| 22 | 22 | | and 2007-2008; and |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | WHEREAS, Members of the Tuloso-Midway High School Choir have |

| 24 | 24 | | demonstrated dedication and talent in the pursuit of their goals, |

| 25 | 25 | | and it is a pleasure to recognize these notable young Texans and |
|---|
| 26 | 26 | | their leaders for their outstanding efforts; now, therefore, be it |

| 27 | 27 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas |

| 28 | 28 | | Legislature hereby congratulate the Tuloso-Midway High School |

| 29 | 29 | | Choir on its many achievements and extend to all those associated |
