55 R E S O L U T I O N
66 WHEREAS, Reed Hilary Ellis Johnson celebrated a significant
77 milestone in his life on May 29, 2009, when he graduated from
88 Westlake High School in Austin; and
99 WHEREAS, A member of the football team for three years, Mr.
1010 Johnson was named the Fellowship of Christian Athletes Athlete of
1111 the Year in 2008; he plans to pursue a degree in business at the
1212 University of Arizona; and
1313 WHEREAS, Mr. Johnson enjoys the love and support of his
1414 parents, Gordon and Pam Johnson, and his grandmothers, Judy Johnson
1515 and Joyce Watson; moreover, the accomplishments of his grandfather,
1616 the late Robert E. Johnson, Sr., or "Big Daddy," have served as an
1717 inspiration; and
1818 WHEREAS, Reed Johnson is an outstanding young Texan, and it
1919 is a pleasure to recognize him as he prepares to embark on an
2020 exciting new chapter in his life; now, therefore, be it
2121 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas
2222 Legislature hereby congratulate Reed Hilary Ellis Johnson on his
2323 graduation from Westlake High School and extend to him sincere best
2424 wishes for success in all his future endeavors; and, be it further
2525 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
2626 prepared for Mr. Johnson as an expression of high regard by the
2727 Texas House of Representatives.
