 R E S O L U T I O N
 WHEREAS, The 80th birthday of an esteemed Texan is truly
 cause for celebration, and on February 22, 2009, Joy Baldwin
 Goodgame of Euless is marking this milestone in her accomplished
 life; and
 WHEREAS, A native of the Lone Star State, Mrs. Goodgame was
 born in Sulphur Springs to Jesse and Marie Moody; she married
 Charles Baldwin in 1948, and the couple were blessed with four
 children, Lynda, Jan, Brenda, and Brad; through the years, she has
 welcomed eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren into her
 family; and
 WHEREAS, Mrs. Goodgame graduated from Woodrow Wilson High
 School and worked with General Foods for 30 years; she also served
 beside her husband in his ministry, teaching Sunday school and
 directing the children's choir, and through this work she touched
 the lives of countless young people; and
 WHEREAS, Married to Tom Goodgame since 2007, Mrs. Goodgame is
 a valued member of the Euless community, where she has generously
 shared her time and talents with the planning and zoning committee,
 the library board, and the Arbor Daze committee; and
 WHEREAS, Joy Goodgame is a delight and inspiration to all who
 are privileged to know her, and it is a great pleasure to join with
 her friends, family, and wide circle of admirers in recognizing her
 eight decades of life well lived; now, therefore, be it
 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas
 Legislature hereby warmly congratulate Joy Baldwin Goodgame on her
 80th birthday and extend to her best wishes for continued
 happiness; and, be it further
 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
 prepared for Mrs. Goodgame as an expression of high regard by the
 Texas House of Representatives.
