44 R E S O L U T I O N
55 WHEREAS, U.S. Navy Chief Petty Officer James R. O'Donnell of
66 Austin has rendered outstanding service to this country as a member
77 of the U.S. Navy Reserve; and
88 WHEREAS, Chief Petty Officer O'Donnell joined the Reserve in
99 October 1985, and he served with Naval Mobile Construction
1010 Battalion 22 throughout his distinguished 21-year tenure; his
1111 duties included training troops and readying them for battle; and
1212 WHEREAS, Through his dedication and professionalism, he held
1313 such positions as leading petty officer, assistant
1414 officer-in-charge, and officer-in-charge of the NMCB 22 Detachment
1515 06, in which he oversaw 52 reservists; and
1616 WHEREAS, In all of his endeavors, Chief Petty Officer
1717 O'Donnell has been blessed with the support of his wife, Angie, and
1818 his son, Weston; and
1919 WHEREAS, Supporting and augmenting active-duty troops,
2020 reservists are an integral and vital part of the U.S. Navy, and Jim
2121 O'Donnell's generous contributions to his country are most
2222 deserving of his fellow citizens' deepest respect and gratitude;
2323 now, therefore, be it
2424 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas
2525 Legislature hereby honor U.S. Navy Chief Petty Officer James R.
2626 O'Donnell for his outstanding service to this country and extend to
2727 him sincere best wishes for the future; and, be it further
2828 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
2929 prepared for Chief Petty Officer O'Donnell as an expression of high
3030 regard by the Texas House of Representatives.
