| 5 | 5 | | WHEREAS, U.S. Navy Chief Petty Officer James R. O'Donnell of |

| 6 | 6 | | Austin has rendered outstanding service to this country as a member |

| 7 | 7 | | of the U.S. Navy Reserve; and |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | WHEREAS, Chief Petty Officer O'Donnell joined the Reserve in |

| 9 | 9 | | October 1985, and he served with Naval Mobile Construction |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | Battalion 22 throughout his distinguished 21-year tenure; his |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | duties included training troops and readying them for battle; and |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | WHEREAS, Through his dedication and professionalism, he held |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | such positions as leading petty officer, assistant |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | officer-in-charge, and officer-in-charge of the NMCB 22 Detachment |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | 06, in which he oversaw 52 reservists; and |

| 16 | 16 | | WHEREAS, In all of his endeavors, Chief Petty Officer |

| 17 | 17 | | O'Donnell has been blessed with the support of his wife, Angie, and |

| 18 | 18 | | his son, Weston; and |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | WHEREAS, Supporting and augmenting active-duty troops, |

| 20 | 20 | | reservists are an integral and vital part of the U.S. Navy, and Jim |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | O'Donnell's generous contributions to his country are most |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | deserving of his fellow citizens' deepest respect and gratitude; |

| 24 | 24 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas |
