| 5 | 5 | | WHEREAS, The Texas House of Representatives is pleased to |

| 6 | 6 | | honor Dr. Audrey Jones of Alamo for her service as Physician of the |

| 7 | 7 | | Day on February 26, 2009; and |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | WHEREAS, Each day of a regular or special session of the |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | legislature, a volunteer physician is on call at the Capitol First |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | Aid Station to provide medical assistance should it be needed; and |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | WHEREAS, Dr. Jones is a graduate of the Texas College of |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | Osteopathic Medicine at the University of North Texas Health |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | Science Center; she is certified by the American Board of Family |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | Practice and the American Board of Forensic Examiners and practices |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | at the Alamo Neighborhood Doctor clinic; and |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | WHEREAS, A member of several professional organizations, Dr. |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | Jones serves on the board of the Texas Osteopathic Medical |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | Association; this civic-minded Texan also serves as president of |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | the Boys and Girls Club of Alamo--San Juan; and |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | WHEREAS, Audrey Jones has volunteered to serve as Physician |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | of the Day despite the demands of a busy schedule, and we welcome |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | her to the State Capitol with gratitude; now, therefore, be it |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | Legislature hereby recognize Dr. Audrey Jones for her contributions |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | to the medical profession and commend her for her generous service |
|---|
| 26 | 26 | | to the Texas Legislature as Physician of the Day; and, be it further |

| 27 | 27 | | RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
