| 5 | 5 | | WHEREAS, Jacob Warner of Elgin was awarded the prize for the |

| 6 | 6 | | grand champion steer at the Bastrop County Livestock Show and Elgin |

| 7 | 7 | | Youth Fair, which took place January 16 and 17, 2009, in Elgin; and |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | WHEREAS, The son of Terry and Dr. Gary Warner, Jacob Warner is |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | a student at Elgin Middle School; he has enjoyed previous success in |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | livestock shows, including a January 2008 victory in the Simbrah |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | breed class at the Independent Cattlemen's Association 8th Annual |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | Beef Expo in Gonzales; and |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | WHEREAS, This young man's accomplishments are part of a |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | family tradition; his father is a well-known veterinarian, and his |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | older sisters, Jenna and Kelly, showed animals in livestock |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | competitions and have gone on to pursue studies in veterinary |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | medicine at Texas A&M University; and |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | WHEREAS, Jacob Warner may take justifiable pride in his |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | triumph in the Bastrop County event, and this achievement is sure to |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | remain a cherished memory for him in the years ahead; now, |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | therefore, be it |

| 22 | 22 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas |

| 23 | 23 | | Legislature hereby congratulate Jacob Warner on showing the grand |
