5	5	WHEREAS, A full and generous life came to an end with the
6	6	passing of Herminia Galindo of Del Rio on September 12, 2007, at the
7	7	age of 76; and
8	8	WHEREAS, The former Herminia Rizo was born to Manuel and
9	9	Margarita Rizo on February 14, 1931, in Del Rio; she married her
10	10	childhood sweetheart, Conrado Galindo, Jr., in 1945, and the couple
11	11	had the pleasure of welcoming 3 children, 10 grandchildren, and 14
12	12	great-grandchildren into the family during their 62 years together;
13	13	and
14	14	WHEREAS, Known to her friends as Minnie, Mrs. Galindo loved
15	15	shopping and traveling with her family, and she delighted in
16	16	entertaining her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and sharing
17	17	with them her stories and wisdom; she was also a talented and
18	18	prolific chef, and her dishes brought satisfied smiles to the faces
19	19	of anyone fortunate enough to attend a gathering at the Galindo
20	20	household; and
21	21	WHEREAS, Minnie Galindo was a compassionate individual who
22	22	stayed by her husband's side day and night when he required her
23	23	assistance and remained constant in that service for 11 years; this
24	24	was but one example of the loving care she provided to her family
25	25	through the decades, and she will forever be remembered with great
26	26	affection by her wide circle of loved ones; now, therefore, be it
27	27	RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st
28	28	Texas Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of Herminia
29	29	Galindo and extend sincere sympathy to the members of her family: to
30	30	her children, Conrado Galindo III and his wife, Joanne, Richard
31	31	Galindo and his wife, Marta, and Manuel Galindo and his wife,
32	32	Margaret; to her 10 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren; to
33	33	her brothers-in-law, Arturo Ramirez, Sr., and Melchor Galindo and
34	34	his wife, Gloria; and to her other relatives and friends; and, be it
35	35	further
36	36	RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
37	37	prepared for her family and that when the Texas House of
38	38	Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Herminia
39	39	Galindo.
