55 WHEREAS, Members and alumni of Leadership Gillespie County
66 contribute immeasurably to Central Texas as civic leaders and
77 volunteers; and
88 WHEREAS, This exceptional program provides opportunities for
99 participants to increase their knowledge of vital public issues and
1010 infrastructure and to visit with the leaders who are making
1111 decisions that affect their communities; and
1212 WHEREAS, Classes inspire the spirit of activism and provide a
1313 diverse membership with personal leadership training, networking
1414 opportunities, and instruction from knowledgeable figures
1515 representing both the public and private sectors; and
1616 WHEREAS, Through its efforts to build a more informed and
1717 involved citizenry and to develop new leaders, Leadership Gillespie
1818 County is helping to create a brighter and more promising future for
1919 the Lone Star State; now, therefore, be it
2020 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas
2121 Legislature hereby commend Leadership Gillespie County for its
2222 promotion of civic leadership and volunteerism and extend to its
2323 participants sincere best wishes for continued success and
2424 achievement; and, be it further
2525 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
2626 prepared for the group as an expression of high regard by the Texas
2727 House of Representatives.
