| 5 | 5 | | WHEREAS, Members and alumni of Leadership Gillespie County |

| 6 | 6 | | contribute immeasurably to Central Texas as civic leaders and |

| 8 | 8 | | WHEREAS, This exceptional program provides opportunities for |

| 9 | 9 | | participants to increase their knowledge of vital public issues and |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | infrastructure and to visit with the leaders who are making |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | decisions that affect their communities; and |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | WHEREAS, Classes inspire the spirit of activism and provide a |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | diverse membership with personal leadership training, networking |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | opportunities, and instruction from knowledgeable figures |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | representing both the public and private sectors; and |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | WHEREAS, Through its efforts to build a more informed and |

| 17 | 17 | | involved citizenry and to develop new leaders, Leadership Gillespie |

| 18 | 18 | | County is helping to create a brighter and more promising future for |

| 19 | 19 | | the Lone Star State; now, therefore, be it |

| 20 | 20 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas |

| 21 | 21 | | Legislature hereby commend Leadership Gillespie County for its |

| 22 | 22 | | promotion of civic leadership and volunteerism and extend to its |

| 23 | 23 | | participants sincere best wishes for continued success and |
