H.R. No. 644
R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, A 50th wedding anniversary marks a lifetime of love
and shared experiences, and Merle and Kay Watson of Caddo Mills
celebrated this joyous milestone in their lives on January 25,
2009; and
WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Watson were joined in matrimony in 1959
at a ceremony held in Caddo Mills; through the years, they have
nurtured a fulfilling marriage, and today they take great pride in
their two daughters and sons-in-law, Tia and G. T. Parsons and Sandy
and Gerald Cotton, as well as their three grandchildren and their
great-grandchild; and
WHEREAS, While innumerable changes have taken place in the
world during the past half-century, this devoted husband and wife
have remained constant in their commitment to one another, and the
strength of their love has enabled them to meet life's challenges
and opportunities with grace and optimism; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas
Legislature hereby congratulate Merle and Kay Watson on the
occasion of their 50th wedding anniversary and extend to them
sincere best wishes for continued happiness; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Watson as an expression of high regard by
the Texas House of Representatives.
