| 5 | 5 | | WHEREAS, A 50th wedding anniversary marks a lifetime of love |

| 6 | 6 | | and shared experiences, and Merle and Kay Watson of Caddo Mills |

| 7 | 7 | | celebrated this joyous milestone in their lives on January 25, |

| 8 | 8 | | 2009; and |

| 9 | 9 | | WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Watson were joined in matrimony in 1959 |

| 10 | 10 | | at a ceremony held in Caddo Mills; through the years, they have |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | nurtured a fulfilling marriage, and today they take great pride in |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | their two daughters and sons-in-law, Tia and G. T. Parsons and Sandy |

| 13 | 13 | | and Gerald Cotton, as well as their three grandchildren and their |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | great-grandchild; and |

| 15 | 15 | | WHEREAS, While innumerable changes have taken place in the |

| 16 | 16 | | world during the past half-century, this devoted husband and wife |

| 17 | 17 | | have remained constant in their commitment to one another, and the |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | strength of their love has enabled them to meet life's challenges |

| 19 | 19 | | and opportunities with grace and optimism; now, therefore, be it |

| 20 | 20 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas |

| 21 | 21 | | Legislature hereby congratulate Merle and Kay Watson on the |

| 22 | 22 | | occasion of their 50th wedding anniversary and extend to them |
