| 5 | 5 | | WHEREAS, Chris Banks of the Mineola Volunteer Fire Department |

| 7 | 7 | | recipient of the East Texas Heroes Award; and |

| 8 | 8 | | WHEREAS, The award, which pays tribute to first responders |

| 9 | 9 | | and is sponsored by Tyler radio station 104.1, was presented to |

| 10 | 10 | | Mr. Banks at a December 2008 banquet at Tyler Junior College; and |

| 11 | 11 | | WHEREAS, Chris Banks has earned the gratitude and admiration |

| 12 | 12 | | of his fellow citizens for his selfless dedication to the safety and |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | well-being of his community, and it is indeed a pleasure to join in |

| 14 | 14 | | honoring this public-spirited Texan; now, therefore, be it |

| 15 | 15 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas |

| 16 | 16 | | Legislature hereby congratulate Chris Banks on his receipt of the |

| 17 | 17 | | East Texas Heroes Award and extend to him sincere best wishes for |
