5	5	WHEREAS, Members of the Rolling Plains Communities
6	6	Partnership are visiting Austin on March 3, 2009, to celebrate
7	7	Rolling Plains Day at the State Capitol; and
8	8	WHEREAS, The Rolling Plains of North Central Texas is 30
9	9	million acres of one of the prime agricultural regions of the Lone
10	10	Star State and is home to many of the state's fine ranchers and
11	11	farmers; and
12	12	WHEREAS, The Rolling Plains Communities Partnership, which
13	13	includes the counties of Briscoe, Childress, Collingsworth,
14	14	Cottle, Donley, Foard, Hall, Hardeman, Motley, and Wheeler, is
15	15	working to bring rural communities together to promote economic
16	16	development; and
17	17	WHEREAS, The members of the Rolling Plains Communities
18	18	Partnership are playing a vital role in the well-being of their
19	19	unique region of the Lone Star State, and this exemplary
20	20	organization is indeed deserving of special recognition; now,
21	21	therefore, be it
22	22	RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas
23	23	Legislature hereby recognize March 3, 2009, as Rolling Plains Day
24	24	at the State Capitol and extend to the members of the Rolling Plains
25	25	Communities Partnership sincere best wishes for a meaningful and
26	26	memorable visit to Austin.
