| 5 | 5 | | WHEREAS, Adriano M. Gonzalez has been selected as a recipient |

| 7 | 7 | | only 12 instructors in the Lone Star State to receive this honor in |

| 9 | 9 | | WHEREAS, Sponsored by The University of Texas at Austin |

| 10 | 10 | | alumni association, the Texas Exes Award for Outstanding Teachers |

| 11 | 11 | | dates to 1987 and honors educators who inspire and support their |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | students, bring credit to the teaching profession, and are highly |

| 13 | 13 | | respected by their colleagues and their community; by highlighting |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | the achievements of these individuals, Texas Exes increases public |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | awareness of the many contributions that teachers make to society; |

| 17 | 17 | | WHEREAS, Mr. Gonzalez, a teacher at Business Careers High |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | School in San Antonio, was presented the Glaxo Award for |

| 19 | 19 | | Outstanding Teaching; throughout his career, he has motivated his |

| 20 | 20 | | students to excel through his exceptional instruction and |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | encouragement; and |

| 22 | 22 | | WHEREAS, Exemplifying educational excellence, Mr. Gonzalez |

| 23 | 23 | | has positively influenced both students and teachers with his |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | dedication, knowledge, and inspiring presence in the classroom, and |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | his myriad achievements make him a deserving recipient of this |

| 26 | 26 | | prestigious commendation; now, therefore, be it |

| 27 | 27 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas |
