5 | 5 | WHEREAS, The Texas House of Representatives is pleased to | |

7 | 7 | are visiting as part of Nurse Day at the State Capitol on March 3, | |

9 | 9 | WHEREAS, The 162,000 registered nurses and 67,000 licensed | |
10 | 10 | vocational nurses who care for Texans every day in hospitals, in | |
11 | 11 | nursing homes, through home health agencies, and in other settings | |
12 | 12 | are critical to the quality of health care in our state; and | |
13 | 13 | WHEREAS, Nurses are consistently rated by national polls as | |
14 | 14 | among the highest ranking professionals in honesty and ethics, and | |
15 | 15 | they are indeed deserving of our respect and admiration; now, | |
16 | 16 | therefore, be it | |
17 | 17 | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas | |
18 | 18 | Legislature hereby recognize March 3, 2009, as Nurse Day at the | |
19 | 19 | State Capitol and commend all nurses in Texas for their invaluable | |
20 | 20 | service to the state. | |
