| 8 | 8 | | WHEREAS, Sponsored by the Honey Brown Hope Foundation, the |

| 9 | 9 | | WIN Award Luncheon commemorates Women's History Month by |

| 10 | 10 | | celebrating the achievements and contributions of outstanding |

|---|
| 12 | 12 | | WHEREAS, A graduate of Texas Woman's University, Ms. Williams |

| 13 | 13 | | has more than 20 years of experience in broadcast journalism; |

| 14 | 14 | | starting with an internship at KTBC in Austin during her college |

| 15 | 15 | | years, she has worked as a television correspondent, anchor, and |

| 16 | 16 | | producer in Lubbock, Texas; Birmingham, Alabama; Washington, D.C.; |

| 17 | 17 | | Chicago, Illinois; and Cleveland, Ohio; and |

| 18 | 18 | | WHEREAS, Now vice president and news director for KRIV-FOX 26 |

| 19 | 19 | | in Houston, this outstanding television executive is a three-time |

| 20 | 20 | | Emmy winner; she also contributes to her community as a member of |

| 21 | 21 | | the boards of the Association for the Advancement of Mexican |

| 22 | 22 | | Americans and of Texas Woman's University; and |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | WHEREAS, In addition to her other responsibilities, Ms. |

| 24 | 24 | | Williams has co-authored two children's books, using her skills to |

| 25 | 25 | | help educate children and to contribute to a positive learning |
|---|
| 26 | 26 | | environment; and |

| 27 | 27 | | WHEREAS, Ms. Williams brings a wealth of wisdom to share with |

| 28 | 28 | | the participants at the WIN luncheon, and this event provides a |
|---|
| 29 | 29 | | truly fitting opportunity to pay tribute to her for her many |

| 30 | 30 | | accomplishments; now, therefore, be it |
