| 5 | 5 | | WHEREAS, A 50th wedding anniversary marks a lifetime of love |

| 6 | 6 | | and shared experiences, and Johnny and Martha Moore of Commerce |

| 7 | 7 | | celebrated this joyous milestone in their marriage on February 14, |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | 2009; and |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Moore were joined in matrimony in 1959 |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | at a ceremony held in Howe; through the years, they have been |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | blessed with a treasured family that includes three children, |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | Ramona Harper, Johnna Stephenson, and Marcus Moore, as well as |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | seven granddaughters; and |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | WHEREAS, Respected members of their community, Mr. Moore is a |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | cotton farmer in Delta County and Mrs. Moore is an administrative |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | assistant at Texas A&M University--Commerce; in addition to meeting |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | their work and family responsibilities, they have been valued |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | members of the First Baptist Church; and |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Moore have enjoyed five decades of |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | abiding love and affection for one another, and they are among an |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | exceptional group of men and women who can claim such a lasting |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | commitment; now, therefore, be it |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas |

| 24 | 24 | | Legislature hereby congratulate Johnny and Martha Moore on their |

| 25 | 25 | | 50th wedding anniversary and extend to them sincere best wishes for |
