| 5 | 5 | | WHEREAS, Veronica R. Kloss of Spring, a member of Girl Scouts |

| 6 | 6 | | of the USA Troop No. 11551, has earned the Girl Scout Gold Award, |

| 7 | 7 | | and this achievement truly merits special recognition; and |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | WHEREAS, Receiving the Gold Award is a significant honor, |

| 9 | 9 | | bestowed on only a small fraction of those who enter the scouting |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | movement; in the course of meeting the award's demanding criteria, |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | Ms. Kloss completed all of the requisite steps and successfully |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | accomplished a Gold Award project of benefit to the DePelchin |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | Children's Center, which included making more than 120 fleece |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | blankets for donation and constructing a showcase for the |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | children's art projects; and |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | WHEREAS, The daughter of Michael and Janet Kloss, this fine |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | young Texan has demonstrated outstanding initiative throughout her |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | scouting career, winning the respect and admiration of her fellow |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | Girl Scouts; Ms. Kloss also takes part in a number of activities at |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | St. Pius X High School, including membership in the National Honor |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | Society and Campus Ministry as well as serving as captain of the |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | varsity soccer team; moreover, she belongs to St. Edward Catholic |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | Church and the Texas Rush Soccer Club; and |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | WHEREAS, Veronica Kloss's dedication to excellence and her |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | perseverance in the pursuit of her goals have proven her worthy to |
|---|
| 26 | 26 | | stand among scouting's elite, and she may indeed reflect with pride |

| 27 | 27 | | on a job well done; now, therefore, be it |

| 28 | 28 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas |

| 29 | 29 | | Legislature hereby congratulate Veronica R. Kloss on receiving the |
