| 6 | 6 | | WHEREAS, The Texas State Employees Golf Association is an |

| 7 | 7 | | admirable organization that promotes fun and camaraderie among |

| 8 | 8 | | active and retired employees of the State of Texas and their |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | families; and |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | WHEREAS, Founded in 1976, SEGA organizes monthly tournaments |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | for its more than 200 members, with the events taking place at |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | various courses in the Austin area; and |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | WHEREAS, Members of the SEGA board of directors work to |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | ensure that the mission of the association is carried out in full; |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | this esteemed group includes president Kenneth Yoder, vice |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | president Philip Jones, secretary Lindey Osbourne, treasurer |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | Teresa Phillips, and at-large members Larry Floyd, Larry Duncan, |

| 18 | 18 | | Jose Moreno, Dan Bertschi, Garry Jones, Mark Michon, and Larry |

| 19 | 19 | | Boriack; and |

| 20 | 20 | | WHEREAS, Athletic competition enriches the lives of those who |

| 21 | 21 | | partake in it, and SEGA is doing an outstanding job of promoting the |

| 22 | 22 | | enjoyable and challenging sport of golf among State of Texas |

| 23 | 23 | | employees; now, therefore, be it |

| 24 | 24 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas |

| 25 | 25 | | Legislature hereby recognize the Texas State Employees Golf |
|---|
| 26 | 26 | | Association and extend to those involved with the organization |

| 27 | 27 | | sincere best wishes for continued success and happiness; and, be it |
