H.R. No. 856
R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Peter Tan of Houston is celebrating his 56th
birthday on March 21, 2009, and this happy event is indeed worthy of
special recognition; and
WHEREAS, Retired from his medical supply distribution
business, Mr. Tan is a full-time volunteer with the Knights of
Columbus, the world's largest Catholic fraternal organization; and
WHEREAS, He also serves as a precinct chair, a role that has
enabled him to contribute to his fellow residents while helping to
strengthen the Lone Star State's representative form of government;
and
WHEREAS, In all of his endeavors, Mr. Tan has benefited from
the loving support of his wife, Selina; and
WHEREAS, Peter Tan has given generously of his time and
talents to the work of building an even stronger community, and his
birthday provides a fitting opportunity to recognize his efforts in
behalf of the Sharpstown community and all who call it home; now,
therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas
Legislature hereby warmly congratulate Peter Tan on his 56th
birthday and extend to him sincere best wishes for continued
success and happiness; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Mr. Tan as an expression of high regard by the Texas
House of Representatives.
