| 5 | 5 | | WHEREAS, During the 81st Legislative Session, Yaneth Munoz of |

| 6 | 6 | | Desoto has ably served her fellow Texans as an intern in the office |

| 7 | 7 | | of State Representative Yvonne Davis; and |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | WHEREAS, A student at Mountain View College, Ms. Munoz was |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | invited to the Capitol through that school's government internship |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | program, and her participation in this endeavor is a reflection of |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | her talent and determination; and |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | WHEREAS, Ms. Munoz is a 2008 graduate of Law Magnet High |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | School in Dallas, where she was active in debate and served as a |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | Student Congress representative; in her free time, she has studied |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | Tae Kwon Do, worked as a self-defense instructor, and been a valued |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | member of the Wolverines Karate Demonstration Team; a LULAC |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | participant, she worships at St. Francis of Assisi and is a member |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | of the church prayer group, choir, and Virgin of Guadalupe group; |

| 19 | 19 | | and |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | WHEREAS, From March 17 to March 19, 2009, this noteworthy |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | young Texan has contributed to the workings of state government |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | firsthand; in addition to enhancing her knowledge of the |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | legislative process and the issues facing citizens of the Lone Star |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | State, she has gained valuable work experience in the field of |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | public service; and |
|---|
| 26 | 26 | | WHEREAS, Yaneth Munoz has performed her duties as a |
|---|
| 27 | 27 | | legislative intern with skill and dedication, and she is indeed |
|---|
| 28 | 28 | | deserving of special recognition for her fine work; now, therefore, |

| 29 | 29 | | be it |

| 30 | 30 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas |

| 31 | 31 | | Legislature hereby commend Yaneth Munoz for her service as a |
