| 5 | 5 | | WHEREAS, Daniel J. Hollmann has been inducted into the Odessa |
|---|
| 6 | 6 | | Chamber of Commerce Hall of Fame, and this occasion provides a |
|---|
| 7 | 7 | | fitting opportunity to honor this esteemed Texan; and |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | WHEREAS, Born on August 22, 1951, Daniel Hollmann went on to |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | graduate from Lamesa High School in 1969; he attended Texas Tech |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | University, earning a bachelor's degree in accounting in 1973 and a |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | law degree with honors from the institution three years later; Mr. |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | Hollmann is currently a partner with the law firm of Atkins, |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | Hollmann, Jones, Peacock, Lewis, and Lyon, Incorporated, and he is |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | affiliated with the State Bar of Texas, the Ector County Bar |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | Association, the Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants, and |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | the Texas Bar Foundation; and |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | WHEREAS, Despite his busy professional life, Mr. Hollmann has |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | volunteered his time to numerous local organizations; he is a |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | commissioner on the Housing Authority of the City of Odessa, and he |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | is on the board of the Odessa Elderly Housing Corporation and the |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | Odessa Industrial Development Corporation; he also serves on the |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | Permian Basin Advisory Council for the Texas Tech Health Sciences |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | Center and the Legal Advisory Council for the Catholic Diocese of |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | San Angelo, and he is a past president of Catholic Charities Odessa; |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | in addition, Mr. Hollmann has been involved with the Odessa Chamber |
|---|
| 26 | 26 | | of Commerce as a member and chairman of various committees, as well |
|---|
| 27 | 27 | | as the board of directors, and he has received both the Heritage of |
|---|
| 28 | 28 | | Odessa Foundation Award and the Citizen of the Year designation; |

| 30 | 30 | | WHEREAS, In all of his endeavors, Mr. Hollmann has enjoyed |
|---|
| 31 | 31 | | the love and support of his wife of 33 years, Jeanette, and the |
|---|
| 32 | 32 | | couple's three children, Melanie, Elizabeth, and J. J.; and |
|---|
| 33 | 33 | | WHEREAS, Dedicated to his community and his profession, |

| 34 | 34 | | Daniel Hollmann has garnered the lasting respect and admiration of |
|---|
| 35 | 35 | | his fellow residents, and he may indeed reflect with great pride on |
|---|
| 36 | 36 | | his civic contributions; now, therefore, be it |
|---|
| 37 | 37 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas |
|---|
| 38 | 38 | | Legislature hereby congratulate Daniel J. Hollmann on his 2009 |

| 39 | 39 | | induction into the Odessa Chamber of Commerce Hall of Fame and |
|---|
| 40 | 40 | | extend to him sincere best wishes for continued success and |
