H.R. No. 961
R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, The Texas State Employees Golf Association is an
admirable organization that promotes fun and camaraderie among
active and retired employees of the State of Texas and their
families; and
WHEREAS, Founded in 1976, SEGA organizes monthly tournaments
for its more than 200 members, with the events taking place at
various courses in the Austin area; and
WHEREAS, Members of the SEGA board of directors work to
ensure that the mission of the association is carried out in full;
this esteemed group includes president Kenneth Yoder, vice
president Philip Jones, secretary Lindey Osborne, treasurer Teresa
Phillips, and at-large members Larry Floyd, Larry Duncan, Jose
Moreno, Dan Bertschi, Garry Jones, Mark Michon, and Larry Boriack;
and
WHEREAS, Athletic competition enriches the lives of those who
partake in it, and SEGA is doing an outstanding job of promoting the
enjoyable and challenging sport of golf among State of Texas
employees; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas
Legislature hereby recognize the Texas State Employees Golf
Association and extend to those involved with the organization
sincere best wishes for continued success and happiness; and, be it
further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for the organization as an expression of high regard by the
Texas House of Representatives.
