H.R. No. 965 R E S O L U T I O N WHEREAS, A full and generous life drew to a close with the death of Lawrence Edward Fogarty of Bellville on March 5, 2009, at the age of 97; and WHEREAS, Born in 1911 in Oktibbeha County, Mississippi, to Rosa and Edward Fogarty, Lawrence Fogarty lived in Bellaire, Texas, for many years before moving to Bellville; and WHEREAS, Mr. Fogarty was joined in matrimony to the former Lillian Lucille Machemehl, and the couple enjoyed a long and happy life together, until Mrs. Fogarty's death in 1998; and WHEREAS, Lawrence Fogarty drew a circle of close and loyal admirers whose lives he greatly enhanced with his friendship, and those who were fortunate enough to know him will forever treasure their memories of this esteemed man; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of Lawrence Edward Fogarty and extend sincere condolences to the members of his family: to his sons, Charlie Fogarty and his wife, Senie, and Lawrence Fogarty, Jr., and his wife, Jan; to his grandchildren, Jimmy, Tommy, and Brian Fogarty, Lawrence Fogarty III, Marilee Poon, Sallye Norris, and Lori Carnes; and to his other relatives and friends; and, be it further RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Lawrence Fogarty.
