| 10 | 10 | SECTION 1. Subchapter C, Chapter 61, Education Code, is | |
| 11 | 11 | amended by adding Section 61.0691 to read as follows: | |
| 12 | 12 | Sec. 61.0691. REPORT ON FUNDING FOR CAMPUSES LOCATED | |
| 13 | 13 | OUTSIDE UNITED STATES. (a) Each biennium, the board shall require | |
| 14 | 14 | each university system or institution of higher education that | |
| 15 | 15 | maintains a campus outside the United States to report to the board | |
| 16 | 16 | detailed information regarding the sources of funding for the | |
| 17 | 17 | campus, including the tuition and fees charged to students enrolled | |
| 18 | 18 | at the campus, and the manner in which the funds are disbursed. | |
| 19 | 19 | (b) Not later than December 1 of each even-numbered year, | |
| 20 | 20 | the board shall prepare and submit to the presiding officer of each | |
| 21 | 21 | house of the legislature and to the Legislative Budget Board a | |
| 22 | 22 | written report based on the information received by the board under | |
| 23 | 23 | Subsection (a). | |
| 24 | 24 | SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2009. |
