The bill would amend the Transportation Code relating to the submission of reports on certain convictions or adjudications relating to the operation of motor vehicles to the Department of Public Safety (DPS). The bill would require courts to report traffic convictions to DPS within seven days instead of thirty days. The bill would take effect on September 1, 2009.The Department of Public Safety anticipates no significant fiscal impact to the agency.
