| 9 | 9 | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | |
| 10 | 10 | SECTION 1. Section 481.078, Government Code, is amended by | |
| 11 | 11 | adding Subsection (k) to read as follows: | |
| 12 | 12 | (k) A grant of money from the fund may not be made to a | |
| 13 | 13 | recipient unless the recipient, as one of the performance targets | |
| 14 | 14 | in the agreement, commits to providing a health benefit plan to the | |
| 15 | 15 | recipient's full-time employees who are employed in a facility or | |
| 16 | 16 | activity financed by the grant. | |
| 17 | 17 | SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2009. |
