O'Brien, Director, Legislative Budget Board     IN RE:SB1610 by Hegar (Relating to liability of vehicle lessees for unpaid tolls.), As Introduced    No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.  The bill would amend the Transportation Code to allow lessors of motor vehicles to submit certain electronic information on lessees to the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) and local tolling entities for the purpose of collecting tolls or the prosecution of an offense for the nonpayment of a toll. Based on the analysis of TxDOT, it is assumed the provisions of the bill would not result in a significant fiscal impact to the state.
