The bill would require the Defense Economic Adjustment Assistance Panel to evaluate each application for a Defense Economic Adjustment Assistance Grant to assign the applicant a score based on certain criteria to include anticipated number of jobs retained. The bill would take effect immediately if it receives two-thirds votes or on September 1, 2009. Local Government Impact No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
