The bill would amend various subsections of Section 51.214 of the Education Code, as it relates to the employment and commissioning of law enforcement personnel to provide security services to certain educational institutions in municipalities with a population of 1.18 million or more.  Local Government Impact No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
