| 8 | 8 | | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |

| 9 | 9 | | SECTION 1. Subsection (e), Section 254.124, Election Code, |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | is amended to read as follows: |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | (e) In addition to other required reports, the campaign |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | treasurer of a specific-purpose committee that supports or opposes |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | a candidate in a [an election and an ensuing] runoff election shall |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | file one report for the runoff election. The runoff election |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | report must be received by the authority with whom the report is |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | required to be filed not later than the eighth day before runoff |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | election day. The report covers the period beginning the ninth day |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | before the date of the main election and continuing through the 10th |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | day before runoff election day. |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | SECTION 2. Subsection (e), Section 254.154, Election Code, |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | is amended to read as follows: |

|---|

|---|
