77 relating to the establishment of a student outcomes pilot program
88 at Alamo Community College.
99 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
1010 SECTION 1. Subchapter A, Chapter 130, Education Code, is
1111 amended by adding Section 130.0105 to read as follows:
1212 Sec. 130.0105. ESTABLISHMENT OF STUDENT OUTCOMES PILOT
1313 PROGRAM AT ALAMO COMMUNITY COLLEGE. (a) Alamo Community College
1414 shall establish a pilot program to collect and analyze statistical
1515 data regarding student outcomes at the college in order to:
1616 (1) facilitate accountability at the college by
1717 determining the efficacy of instruction at the college and
1818 examining the transition of students to four-year institutions of
1919 higher education; and
2020 (2) further ongoing education excellence initiatives
2121 at the college.
2222 (b) This section applies only to campuses of the junior
2323 college district located in the taxing jurisdiction of the
2424 district.
2525 (c) This section expires September 1, 2019.
2626 SECTION 2. This Act takes effect immediately if it receives
2727 a vote of two-thirds of all the members elected to each house, as
2828 provided by Section 39, Article III, Texas Constitution. If this
2929 Act does not receive the vote necessary for immediate effect, this
3030 Act takes effect September 1, 2009.
