| 9 | 9 | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | |
| 10 | 10 | SECTION 1. Subchapter A, Chapter 130, Education Code, is | |
| 11 | 11 | amended by adding Section 130.0105 to read as follows: | |
| 12 | 12 | Sec. 130.0105. ESTABLISHMENT OF STUDENT OUTCOMES PILOT | |
| 13 | 13 | PROGRAM AT ALAMO COMMUNITY COLLEGE. (a) Alamo Community College | |
| 14 | 14 | shall establish a pilot program to collect and analyze statistical | |
| 15 | 15 | data regarding student outcomes at the college in order to: | |
| 16 | 16 | (1) facilitate accountability at the college by | |
| 17 | 17 | determining the efficacy of instruction at the college and | |
| 18 | 18 | examining the transition of students to four-year institutions of | |
| 19 | 19 | higher education; and | |
| 20 | 20 | (2) further ongoing education excellence initiatives | |
| 21 | 21 | at the college. | |
| 22 | 22 | (b) This section applies only to campuses of the junior | |
| 23 | 23 | college district located in the taxing jurisdiction of the | |
| 24 | 24 | district. | |
| 25 | 25 | (c) This section expires September 1, 2019. | |
| 26 | 26 | SECTION 2. This Act takes effect immediately if it receives | |
| 27 | 27 | a vote of two-thirds of all the members elected to each house, as | |
| 28 | 28 | provided by Section 39, Article III, Texas Constitution. If this | |
| 29 | 29 | Act does not receive the vote necessary for immediate effect, this | |
| 30 | 30 | Act takes effect September 1, 2009. |
