55 relating to the calculation of a person's net resources for
66 purposes of determining child support liability.
77 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
88 SECTION 1. Subsection (c), Section 154.062, Family Code, is
99 amended to read as follows:
1010 (c) Resources do not include:
1111 (1) return of principal or capital;
1212 (2) accounts receivable; [or]
1313 (3) benefits paid in accordance with the Temporary
1414 Assistance for Needy Families program; or
1515 (4) payments for foster care of a child [aid for
1616 families with dependent children].
1717 SECTION 2. The change in law made by this Act to Subsection
1818 (c), Section 154.062, Family Code, applies only to a proceeding to
1919 establish or modify a child support obligation that is pending in a
2020 trial court on or filed on or after the effective date of this Act.
2121 SECTION 3. This Act takes effect September 1, 2009.
